Fishing nets, a farming facility that is static for a long time, are more likely to become the settlement area for various marine organism than moving ships. So it’s fouling issue has never been overcome.
China’s Marine aquaculture industry is the largest in the world and developed rapidly with all kinds of fish, shrimp and shellfish. The netting gear used in marine aquaculture are immersed in seawater for a long time and vulnerable to get fouling of algae, fungi, barnacles, shells, amphipods and other organisms attached to the net. Marine fouling cause the blockage of the cage, result in poor seawater circulation and reduction of dissolved oxygen in seawater. Pathogenic bacteria and other problems are extremely unfavorable to the growth of aquaculture products. As well increase the great waste of human and material resources caused by cleaning the cage. Therefore, the solution for the net affected by marine fouling is so expected. Designing an efficient and environmentally friendly anti-fouling coating for marine net has become an important subject of our company.
Depending on the technical of antibacterial, pest control and algaecide as well the study for release control of resin we develop a new generation of antifouling paint for marine culture net. Continuous marine field expose testing gave us rich experience and data of the characteristics of marine biological organism. As well we have broken through the existing concept of traditional antifouling model and mostly consider the soft coating surface as its basis combined with the logic of low content, non-toxicity, slow release as its design targets.
