LUNA®CIDE SPT-40 （Sodium Pyrithione 40% solution）
LUNA®CIDE SPT-40 is sodium pyrithione 40% solution. Sodium pyrithione is a broad spectrum anti-fungal agent and is effective against most fungi (yeasts and molds) commonly found in contaminated metalworking fluid systems. It is one of the few effective water-soluble fungicides available for use by this industry, and an excellent choice as a post treatment additive.
As an active ingredient Sodium Pyrithione works by disrupting the ion gradients across the fugal cell membrane, inhibiting vital nutrient transport. The microorganisms starve to death. For this reason fungi do not become resistant to repeated doses of this product.
